This unit provides highly specialized intensive care for premature, sick or high-risk babies, along with support and education for their families.

General Information

Every baby admitted to NNICU is in an Incubator (isolated) and on a Heart Rate Monitor. This is done so the babies can be closely monitored.

Babies may be surrounded by additional equipment that is needed for his/her care. The nurses are available to answer any questions.

Parents may bring one or two small washable toys to place in their baby's incubator. Remember, the baby's bed is small.

Information about the baby will be given only to the parents. Other family members should contact the parents for any information.

Breast Feeding

Please notify the nursing staff if you are planning to breast feed your baby. We will try to make you comfortable and provide as much privacy as possible.
