Department of Chest Medicine is equipped to deal with all types of problems (acute and chronic) pertaining to the respiratory system e.g. Bronchial Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Chronic Bronchitis/Emphysema) with or without respiratory failure, All types of pneumonias, Interstitial lung disease, Occupational related respiratory disease, Sleep apnoea syndrome and Screening, Diagnosis and staging of lung cancer.

- Chest Radiograph
- CT scan of chest
Procedures:
- Tube thoracostomy for pleural effusion and pneumothorax
- Needle thorocentesis for pleural effusion
- Ultrasound guided needle thorocentesis/tube thorocostomy
- Pleural biopsy
- Bronchoscopy: department equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopies.
